What Is Trivia Schmivia?

Trivia Schmivia is a pub quiz that's different than many of the other Philadelphia area quiz shows. It features video, music, several question formats, an occasional table game, phone-in questions, and lots of bonus questions just for kicks. The big feature in Trivia Schmivia is the format. The game consists of 6 rounds. The first 3 rounds are straight 1-point questions with a chance to double any one round. Then, the last 3 rounds require the teams to wager points based on the confidence of their answers. The game culminates in a make or break "Bank or Tank" round where a team can take their score to the bank or send it to the tank.

But what's a trivia game if it's not fun?! DJ Will builds a lot of fun into the game with weekly themes and quirky questions and a few surprises along the way. Want to have some fun? Get a team together and come out and play!

About Our Flagship Venue, Coyle's Cafe

Coyle's Cafe, located at 6080 Ridge Avenue in Roxborough is our flagship venue for Trivia Schmivia. Every Thursday night Trivia Schmivia will be hosted at Coyle's Cafe which has been a fixture in the community since 1998.

Join Coyle's Cafe during Phillies and Eagles games for food and drink specials as you watch your hometown teams on 4 big screens in the bar area. Coyle's also hosts many other events including charity groups like Life Unchained and Relay For Life. With a dining room in the back your group will have a lot of space in which to host your meeting or event. Make your presentation or performance from their stage as your guests enjoy the food and drink specials.

Coyles hosts several weekly events including the only Friday Happy Hour Karaoke show in the area, live music Friday nights from 10pm - 1am, and every Thursday night, the new Trivia Schmivia pub trivia show. The premier of Trivia Schmivia (Feb. 11) at Coyle's was a big hit! In spite of the snow storm that hit the night before and the 6' piles of snow that seemed to take over all the parking spaces in Roxborough, we still fielded 6 teams. We drank and laughed and hooted in the coziness of Coyle's Cafe, regardless of what was happening outside. One question in particular had several teams arguing over a question about a Sheryl Crow song. In the end, no team was the winner since they all over-bid on the "Bank or Tank" final bet and zero'd out their score. Coyle's Cafe was happy to provide a $15 gift certificate to the team with the highest score before they all over-bid and sent themselves into the tank. Thanks to the Coyle's for their generosity!
